During the business program of the International Exhibition «Innoprom. Central Asia» in Tashkent, the discussion focused on the partnership development between Kuban and Uzbekistan.
The meeting was attended by Mikhail Dorozhkov, First Deputy Minister of Industrial Policy of the region, Igor Kamynin, Deputy Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Uzbekistan, Vilorik Borisov, founder of the Russian Industrial Corporation group of companies, and Dmitry Tsaplev, Director of the Kuban Industry Development Fund.
«The Krasnodar Territory is ready to enhance collaboration across various sectors. Our region excels in metallurgy, metalworking, construction materials, chemical industry, timber, and light industries. The products' quality is validated by international certificates. Specifically, we aim to boost partnerships among businesses involved in manufacturing components for machine building enterprises,» stated Mikhail Dorozhkov.
The deputy head of the regional department mentioned that the region has successfully developed joint productions with other countries. In the past two years, two such enterprises have been established in Kuban. In collaboration with Belarusian manufacturers, the region manufactures combines, tractors, and machinery that will rival popular European brands.
«Krasnodar Territory has a significant potential for expanding cooperation with Uzbekistan, including in such areas as agriculture, viticulture, light industry and other sectors,» Igor Kamynin said.
Mikhail Dorozhkov mentioned that the region offers various support measures for the growth of joint ventures. Manufacturers based in Kuban receive subsidies from the regional budget, preferential loans from the Regional Industry Development Fund, and tax benefits.
Today, over 12,100 manufacturing companies are registered in the Krasnodar Territory. Of these, 300 manufacturers contribute significantly to the region’s industrial output. Kuban holds the top position in the Southern Federal District for shipping its products and ranks fourth in Russia for the effectiveness of its industrial policy implementation.
